About me

Hi,

My name is Richard and I’ve been fascinated by the exotic culture and lifestyle of the Moroccans for many years. Hey I guess it started with watching the Humphry Bogart flick, Casablanca. But seriously though diversity is the term that is most commonly used with Moroccan food and lifestyle, it’s the coming together of Berbers, Arabs, Mediterranean and European cultures. The colours, the smell of the spices, the taste of the food and of the architecture, what’s not to like? For a hobby I sell moroccan ceramics and homewares at farmers and growers markets and I collect moroccan food recipes and am forever trying them. Join me on this journey and I look forward to your comments and contributions.

  1. Hi Richard,
Met you at the Orange Grove Market on Saturday. I was interested in buying a Tagine and talked about my cooking classes with you. I really enjoyed reading you sight. Seems like you should go and experience the culture you are so much part of it in your cooking and sharing of ideas. Thanks for the blog will use some of it on my facebook page.
All the best and see you next week,
    Best,
    marcea

    • Thanks Marcea, yes I’ll get there definitely, it’s on my bucket list. But I think some people wait too long to experience their list and I’ll make sure I don’t make that mistake. If you’re interested I have a list of cook books I recommend.
